Athlete Activist Spotlight: Maya Moore
I talk a lot about athlete activism. Most of the time, it draws attention from institutions and fans.
But sometimes activism is quiet.
Today’s Athlete Activist spotlight is Maya Moore. Moore stepped away from the height of her career to focus on criminal justice reform. Not for attention, not for applause, for impact.
What Maya demonstrated was what it looks like to move from awareness to outcome.
She did not just speak.
She changed a life.
And her continued work will change many more.
